We believe that:
Extreme wealth inequality is bad for everyone.
Unfairly acquired wealth is bad for everyone.

Much of what we spend every day goes directly to the wealthy. It goes to those whose only contribution is ownership and into the systems that support them. With every dollar paid into these systems, economic inequality grows, and it becomes less likely that our kids will go to college, our families will own homes, or our parents will be able to retire.

There is a part of this system that we can impact now--which businesses and models do we, as consumers, support with our money? Some businesses divert their proceeds more fairly and equitably than others. It is in a consumer's interest to do business with those that are most fair in obtaining and distributing their income. We should support those that benefits us all and avoid businesses that enrich only a few.

FairProfit.org seeks to collect that information and make it easily available to consumers. Fairprofit.org provides a simple breakdown explaining how much of each dollar you spend rewards those that have rather than those who produce or perform a service.
